Training - Animal

Directions for Responsible Conduct in Animal Research Training

 

1.  Click on https://www.citiprogram.org/

 

2.  If you are a new user you need to click Register Here.

 

3.  Go to Participating Institutions, then select HealthPartners Research Foundation and click submit.

 

4.  You will be asked to create a user name and password and then to give them your email and some other information. Once you have provided the requested information, click submit, and it will take you to the CITI Course Enrollment Procedure page. Answer the questions and click Continue.

 

5.  To complete your enrollment on the Learner’s Menu screen you will need to scroll down and click on “Click here”.

 

6. You will now be on the screen starting out with Human Subjects. Scroll down until you get to Question 3 - you will need to check "The 'Working with the IACUC Course' is required if you plan to use laboratory animals in your work or plan to supervise such work."

 

7.  Next, scroll down and check all species you are likely to work with in your research, and then click Continue. You will need to go back to the Learner’s Menu where you will see a list of modules in red; this list will be your required training.

 

8.  When you are done with the training, the CITI site will automatically notify us.

 

Note:  This program may take up to 4 hours to complete; you may start and stop, and then complete it at a later time.
