Research Interests
Dr. Margolis is a board-certified general internist and an Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School, with an adjunct appointment in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health in the School of Public Health. She has been a Senior Clinical Investigator at HealthPartners Research Foundation (HPRF) since 2005. Her research interests include hypertension, diabetes and post-menopausal women's health. Dr. Margolis serves in leadership positions on large multicenter trials testing interventions to reduce cardiovascular complications of hypertension, diabetes and aging, including ALLHAT, ACCORD, and the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI).
